Para Publishing is the public identity of Dan Poynter, a well-known guru of self publishing since 1969. He sells books and conducts seminars on self publishing, and these have been a popular starting point for many self-publishers. You may find it helpful to supplement his advice with a local publishing consultant who is willing to be there and answer your questions as they arise (and many will).
